Steve Cunningham
Steve has been with us since the very infancy of Cu Restaurant and has helped shape the reputation and standards of our “distinctive dining experience.” 
 

A Waterloo native and University of Northern Iowa graduate, Steve brings sixteen years of restaurant and bar experience along with boundless energy to his position as General Manger of Cu and
The Cellar.  

Trained as a bartender in The French Quarter New Orleans, Steve was also a two-time selection to the Southern Louisiana Arm Wrestling All-Star Team (Open Division). 

Steve’s philosophy, simply stated, is “It’s easy to be mediocre, challenging to be great, but only worth it to be the best.”
